300g sifted flour 250 g brown sugar sugar needed) 100g unsalted butter 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 pinch salt cinnamon (you can also add: nutmeg, clove, anise, ginger)
Add baking soda, a pinch of salt and 2 teaspoons of selected spices. If you like cinnamon, you can double the quantity, but in relation to other spices, go easy on it! (Especially nutmeg) /.
Push the dough to make it about 3 mm thick and cut with cookie cutters or a knife. Place them 5 cm apart on a greased stickman bangkok baking sheet.

Eccentric 7-piece skiffle / bluegrass / rock 'n' roll / rockgrass collective. An esoteric line-up, featuring guitars, banjo, saxophone, percussion, slap bass and vocal meanderings. All styles of popular music desecrated. Not for the faint-hearted.
The range of musical genres covered is wide, and unsuspecting audiences have been exposed to skiffle, Irish and cockney pub songs, rock & roll, bluegrass, rock, reggae and ska, jazz, rockabilly, blues and folk songs - seemingly without rhyme or reason.

DUO PUB GIGS - No recorded backing So proper, classy acoustic live music, which is:- 1. Great to prevent noice issues with neighbours - as there are no noisy bass and drums thumping away AND 2. Much more spontaneous and exciting. (If you're going to have recorded backing - so that you sound more like the original track - you might as well have the juke box on! Then listeners wanting to hear the original song played close to the original sound will be completely happy as they will even have the original person singing too)!
Description of the duo gigs These are fun, sing-a-long whiskey a go go gigs featuring mostly well known 60s - present day covers (from artists like Eagles, Kinks, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Coldplay, Elbow etc) with acoustic guitar, main and backing vocals and a lead instrument - either electric violin whiskey a go go (with various sound scapes - delays through to rock overdriven - depending on the song) or flute / sax. The duo also play some foot-stomping jigs and reels and a few powerful originals. Elaine is lively, chatty and friendly. Often audience members are encouraged to come up and sing backing vocals or play various percussion instruments! Hear duo examples.
BAND GIGS - These feature a combination of classic tracks from the 60s - present day (from artists like Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Kinks) played in Kindred Spirit's own style (with wild and beautiful electric violin and flute / sax moments, driving bass and drums and wonderful backing vocals) and Elaine's original songs (clips of many of which can be heard on the MP3s). Paul Manzi was born in 1963, London. He bought his first guitar when he was fifteen (A Flying V copy inspired by KK Downing of Judas Priest) and proceeded to play guitar in his school band. Paul's early influences were Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rush, Queen to name but a few.
Paul found his voice and started singing at age 23 (late starter) and 2 years later joined progressive rock band 'Barchetta'. He gained notable recording experience at Abbey Road Studios and equally notable live experience including playing at the Old Marquee supporting progressive rock band 'Pallas'.
Since then Paul has kept busy doing session vocals and working in various successful cover bands/trios/duos/solo as a singer/guitarist (one has to pay the rent). More recently Paul has performed lead vocals on the soundtrack of 2 rock/pop sankeys manchester musicals 'Phantasmagoria' and Space Family Robinson, which was in production in 2003. He is also an aspiring actor, and has performed in theatre and on film.
Paul joined Oliver's band in mid 2004 and has proved himself to be a fantastic frontman. He first performed with the band for their concert at the Classic Rock Society on the 18th September 2004. He has continued to perform with both the band and with Oliver as an acoustic duo. In 2007 Paul got to record with Oliver on the Mother's sankeys manchester Ruin ep.
Completing the line-up is Pars. Originally sankeys manchester born in Nebraska but hailing from Austin Texas, Pars has performed with many established and respected bands across both America sankeys manchester and in the UK including Screaming Lord Sutch, Blackfoot Sue and Cry Wolf.
