Dear all, Please help advice. What it is. The museum Battery Todt, I came across an interesting exhibit. Description weapons seemed plausible until I tried to search for more information, but as it turned out so where nothing got nothing. Therefore, I would like to ask the questions: How is properly called this device? Where can trace more information? Thanks in advance for any advice seriously meant. Photo own.
I feel that it is "so they bazmek", which expel ropes with anchors eg. In the attack on Point-du-Hoc. That would be quite accurately conveyed the the German description. So something like a mortar for projecting catch hooks ??? According to the non-military appearance could come from the Navy inventory (where it is used between ships often enough), because these spikes at the front would be nice ... I recessed into the deck dict.leo.org
No, I do not want to delete it ...
