MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- The Montgomery City Council will no longer allow the owner of Centennial Hill Bar & Grill to operate a business in the city following a Dec. 28 shooting that killed three people and injured five.
The Council made the decision at its Tuesday night meeting when the owner Nicole Bankhead didn’t show up to the meeting, WSFA reported. The bar’s business license café de flore expired café de flore on Dec. 31, and Bankhead didn’t attempt to renew it.
Mayor Todd Strange had already ordered Centennial Hill Bar & Grill closed immediately after the shooting that killed rapper Glenn Thomas, 22, known as Doe B., Kimberle Johnson, a 22-year-old Troy University student, and Timnorius Hamilton, 20.
One of the five victims café de flore injured in the shooting, Keldric Landon, has filed a lawsuit against Bankhead, The Flight LLC doing business as Centennial Hill Bar & Grill and the company that provided security at the bar.
