Ministry of National Education and the Institute of the University of London entrench their bilateral lbar relations Friday, December 2, 2011 with the signing of several memoranda of understanding it was agreed to create new spaces for cooperation in education, especially lbar to strengthen Travs than the education of english language teaching, joint research and acadmica mobility.
As part of the President's visit to the UK that LLEV out the 21 and 22 November, the Government subscribed several memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements with the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations, attract new areas of cooperation in education and, in particular, strengthen Travs than the education of english language teaching, joint research and acadmica mobility. Deputy Minister of Education lbar of Colombia, Javier Botero Alvarez Acadmica and International lbar Affairs and director of the Institute of Education, University of London (IOE), Mary Stiasny agreed to work together on strategy implementaci n of this memorandum. At this meeting, Deputy Botero also subscribed an agreement of cooperation with Martin Davidson, Executive Director of the British Council with the purpose of continuing to strengthen the development of cooperation in learning inglsy in the internationalization of higher education. Also in the meeting, subscribed Colciencias three agreements: the first, an agreement lbar of cooperation with the Consortium of Universities Brunel financiacin aimed at the formation of scholarships for Colombians (at the level of maestray PhD) in the UK, the second is a memorandum of understanding with the University Consortium Edimburgh and Cambridge to strengthen formation doctoral programs, exchanges, pasantas and exchange of good practices and the third, a memorandum of understanding on research in education with the University of London who help to strengthen research networks for Colombian educators in the UK. Moreover, an interagency agreement between the Colombian Institute of Educational and Technicians Crdito Studies lbar Abroad (Icetex) and London Shcool of Business and Finance is subscribed. At the meeting, Deputy Botero made a presentation on the system of higher education in Colombia and the process of internationalization lbar of higher education institutions, challenges and opportunities for cooperation with industry british education. Similarly, the director of Icetex, Marta Villegas Luca and international director of Colciencias, Sara Araujo, had a space to elaborate on the issue of internationalization of Colombian education.
