Pavement is a band formed in the city of Stockton (California) back in 1989 by Stephen Malkmus and Scott Kannberg. Around 1992 Pavement became a band in all their terms, 100 club with the arrival 100 club of bassist Mark Ibold and percussionist Bob Nastanovich. The debut album, Slanted and Enchanted, was published the same year, after it had been distributed first cassette. In 1994 he published Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, Cut Your Hair and the single was the closest 100 club flirtation that had the band with the mainstream, coming to MTV program or Jay Leno. Another singles, "Range Life" star criticized the alternative rock like Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots. Wowee Zowee published in 1995, covering a wide range of styles, ranging from punk to country. 1997 hits the market Brighten The Corners, a shorter and more conventional album than the last. It contained two of the most representative group Stereo and Shady Lane. In 1999 he published Twiligh Terror t.
